Three years ago I returned to the US. As we flew over the Atlantic I watched Flight Attendants use their feet to push open the lavatory doors. Their hands were filled with towels and disinfectants. The attendants followed every other person who went into the lavatory to wipe it down. At the time I didn't realize how serious this disease would be, only it was serious enough to clean after every other person.
It took three years for me to get back to South Africa. At times, I didn't know if I would ever get back. I'm happy to say that thought was not accurate. This was my busiest 10 days in a long time filled with people, preaching, teaching and making new friends.
In this first blog I share the circumstances I met and how we can all help our South African brothers and sisters. It's not impossible; we must simply be diligent.
